I use Swap Magic 3.6 DVD often. I am concerned that I have scratched my disc. Sometimes it boots up immediately, other times I stare at the load screen for several minutes. Granted I have an ancient system that has many hours logged. Is anyone else experiencing a similar problem with load times?

I have read a few posts regarding this issue. I would like someone to please confirm the following:

It is not possible to backup Swap Magic in any way. I wouldn't even be able to find out if I had a problem with the disc (other than looking for visual scratches on the bottom of the disc).

I will accept this, if this is the case, but I do find it hard to believe that there are DVDs out there that are unable of cloning, copying, backupping, decrypting, decoding (whatever you want to call it). This is the first I have heard of such a thing. Just for fun: Has anyone ran into this problem with any other disc ever?

And if I am truly spewing garabe onto these excellent forums, I apologize. My disc is just scratched. I should shell out dough for another and shut up! Or someone could snail me a copy!

In any case, I seek the advice of the FORUM gODS. May they have mercy on my delirous/ranting soul.

Thanks for your patience and thoughts on this issue.

you can back it up, but its not going to load in your ps2 without using the original swap magic. The makers of swap magic used a dvd press to press the code over an original ps2 game, that why it boots, the ps2 thinks its an original ps2 game.
