I don't think you can. I believe a wireless connection is the only way but please correct me if I am mistaken.

what would b the point in that fool , it is playstation PORTABLE, so u want to go on the internet using the usb cable which would mean u need 2 stay next to ya computer which has internet anyway , think about it.........

The only way to go online with the psp is if you have a Wireless Connection.

@pro`noob If you want to enable WMA by upgrading your psp to 2.6, then you can simply download the update from http://www.us.playstation.com/psp.aspx?id=softwareupdate

(The above link is only if you have a US version of the PSP, for other versions, please search for the appropriate Sony Site)

and transfer it to your psp via usb and update it.
