hi all...its 2006..lol i just got a canadian ps2 slim v13...i have a maxtor diamond max plus 8 40gb hdrive and a usb external enclosure for it..wow..i formatted it following info from somewhere else using usb extreme..i only have the tiny pc based program no disk..?? i put soem games on it... i am awaiting my swapmagic 3.6 disk and the tools (the right ones for my console..lol) when i get it i will be eager to try and play the games i have transferred to hdrive..(i had to rename a folder and file to swapmagic...) now then i hope it all works ..but if not ill be back in here.. by the way ..ive seen tools like x-port v2 and others like hdadvance and hd loader..do i need them..and i see media players for ps2..i have dloaded some but cant work them..i burnt them but they wont load..(i burnt them as data in folders..probably not right..?) so ...my question after all that is...1 can i use my hdrive as a place to store my back up games..( i think so) 2. also to store saved game and cheat data..? (saved game data is the most important...) 3 .......if so do i still need a mem card..as i dont have one at the moment and it would save me cash..? 4 can i play avi and divx content on it..cos i will buy a dvd player soon to play divx files i have (stargate atlantis...lol) so if it does i would save on buying that as well... and last but not least...5 ...i got a mp3 player..win xp recognises it without any divers just plug and a drive letter pops up...so can i use it on my ps2 slim v 13 with front usb ports..? and if so how,...and if now why...lol thats all for now ..ill be back in the next few days to see any replys...thank you all for any time you contribute.. p.s. i am quite advanced in pc knowledge..i can build them install software..back up karaoke games dvd, cd's all sorts..so i know my way around .. avg is the best antivirus around..next is avast 4.. and zone alarm is the best firewall..and there all free...need i say more..thanx...wj
