Okay I know what yall gonna say...your not supposed to hot plug drives in a computer. Well I do sometimes espicially since its with a old 800 mg amd athlon that aint worth a pot to piss. I just use it as a tool and a back-up. Nothing more.

Well anyway I plugged the cable into the floppy and then i tried to plug to power cable into the floppy. Well stupid me tried plugging the power in upside down. In a flash smoke started coming out of the floppy and suffice to say the floppy dont work no more.

So word to the wise. If ya gonna hot plug something make sure the cable is the right way..lol.:>

<I got lucky though it didnt spike the mobo or psu. The comp still works, but dont ty this at home. We are trained profesionals.:>>

i dont even want to know how you managed to get the floppy power on upside down. it only goes on one way. ive seen the F IDE go on the wrong way before but never the power
