Which of the following chips will work best on my PS2 (fat, V8 I think. scph-39006).

Modbo 2.0/2.1
Duo 2 SE/GT

both will work but there are allot better chips to choose from and the Matrix Infinity (non green dot)is one that is in about the same price range as the Modbo. personally i'd suggest the DMS4 SE in a Pro version if you use homebrew apps and the Lite version if you do not.

The DMS costs 30$+/- (here at least) more than the Modbo/Duo 2 and I can't efford it (unfortunately).

So...
Are you sure that the Modbo suppost to work without any problems with the 39006 version ?

edit:
I keep asking because more than one person who do this for job insist that the scph-39006 version does not suppoort this chip (modbo 2.0+). on the other hand, wherever I look @ the net I see that it's exactly the opposite.

i cant say for sure,our of the many PS2s I've modded all the 'cheap' line chips I've installed were the Magics everyone else went with the DMS or the Matrix. and you can get a Matrix Infinity non green dot for less then 10 bucks more then the duo2
