I am using dvd decrypter on my computer my read rate does not go between 1.5-2 is there a way that i can icrease that rate or is there a standard.Also dvd shrink works but is the new version supposed to be better than the old?anyone else have my problem

Make sure the disk is clean and not badly scratched, also make sure the Drive you're using is not set for PIO mode, if it is change it to the "DMA if available" setting for the IDE controller/channel the drive is connected to.

What new version of shrink, the current version is 3.2.0.15 and is no longer updated/supported.

Are you saying it takes 1.5 to 2 hours to rip your DVD? Way to long if that is what you are stating. I rip in 14 minutes or less.

i meant the read spead is 1.5-2x

Usually read rates are locked by the DVD device but some can be changed. Even a DVD-Rom drive can sometimes read faster then a DVD Burner. DVD Decrypter has a place where you can change it for plextor burners. Lightning UK used Plextors as his burners of choice.

It's a setting in DVD Decrypter that allows the increase.
