I am new at this and I am hopeing that someone could help me with how the backup disk works? Is there anything that I have to do to the Game console? What do I have to do to make a backup? What do I need to play a back up? and where can I find software that I may need to do this?

You need to install a modchip, you need a DVD burner to make your backup, you will need software like DVD Decrypter, Nero or Alchol 120%. Search this website and you will find everything you need.

You really don't have to get a modchip you can also try the Swap Magic V3.6 and Fliptop combo. It's a lot safer if you plan on doing it yourself and cheaper. I got mine from here http://www.thegiantstore.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=338
