Big memory stick problem!

Whilst puting a MP4 movie onto my Sony 2GB Pro Duo stick using Nero Recode 2 the system froze. Now my memory stick is not recognised by the PSP or card reader.
The orange light on the PSP flashes constantly and will not allow me to re-format. I have tried numerous disk recovery programs with no success. Any ideas guys.

Yeah, i've had exactly the same problem with no idea how to sort it out....
Please, if anyone has any idea of what to do let me know... really dont wanna have to buy a new memory card.

Are you trying to work with the memory stick while it is in the PSP and then connected to the PC via USB? If so, maybe put the Memory Stick Pro Duo into a Memory Stick Duo Adaptor (Sony MSAC-M2 ~$12) and then put that into a universal memory card hub connected via USB to your PC.

Just got my memory card reader thru the post
when its plugged into the computer and when the affected memory card is in it the computer doesnt think there is a memory card in there.
i really have no idea what to do :(

What OS you running (win98, WinMe, WinXp)?. Right Click On My computer>>Properties.. Does the last line under system say Service Pack 2? If not go to windows update site and get it.

I'm using Win XP and yeah, it says Service Pack 2 there.

Try putting the card in another device
eg digital camera or
sony handycam, it seems like your stick is a gonna,
but wishful thinking doesnt hurt.
Sometimes to keep things peaceful you need a Piece thats Full |

Unfortunately i only have my computer and my psp that this card fits in.
Yeah, looks like it is dead. tis a great shame, cheers for trying to help tho everyone, most appreciated. If anyone does have a sudden flash of inspiration about it tho, do remember me

The card has a warranty.
look up the brands website on the net to find out how to send it in and the will fix or replace it. If you have something you shouldnt. Then i would not recomend you sending it in, because chances are the will be able to read it.
