I am so new to this is almost scary.

I know how to burn Cue and Bin files, you just burn the cue as an image and as long as the bin is under 700 mgs your okay.

I thought the DVD+RW's I bought would be sort of like really big CDRW's being able to hold 4.7 gigs and all. But I can't drag and drop, NTI nor Nero seem to work copying folders over.

What type of files extensions would these lovely discs understand. I tried ISO a file with only 647 megs, didn't like it. Tried the bin, didn't like it. I am in the middle of downloading one movie that is strictly an ISO file and am worried that it just won't burn. So far, I haven't been able to burn anything to any of the DVD+RW's I have purchased.

Can anyone help before I turn this dvd/rw into a flying dvd/rw :)

okay so I have read up, with many thanks to these forums and found that you can only burn a very few files types to a DVD+/-RW.
I still fail to find, which extension will burn to it, other then DVD format type files.

I would also love to know why neither Nero 7 or NTI (sony's software) will NOT erase my DVD+RW dics from Acro Circle, maybe should have gone with a better known name of disc?? but I liked the idea of it being re-writable I don't need a library of a thousand dvd's.

Help!!

well first off, thanks for the response.

I thought that these DVD+RW discs I got along with the dvd burner, as described above, they were like big cd-rws. I can burn any file to any of my maxell CR-RWs, as long as it's no more then 700megs.

BUT, I have tried using Nero 7 and NTI (sony's burning software) and so far the only file types that I can burn, copy, cut or even just plain old paste are the types that are associated with DVD file formats. Neither NTI or Nero 7 will allow me to burn to the DVD+RW.

the exact error is as follows, and this is the same thing I get when trying to burn anything BUT DVD file formats.

Sorry your compilation cannot be written on this kind of disc. Please insert a disc of the correct type or modify the settings of your complication to make it compatiable with the current disc.

Disc required for teh compliation: CD-R/RW

Disc type in the recorder: DVD+RW

That is what it keeps giving me, like I say, no matter what type of file, in this case it was an ISO file to the blank DVD.

Help.
Bottom line is trying to do the game thing, so downloading and using CD-R's for that.

For movies bought a pack of 25 DVD+RW, I have tried twice, just now, using Super DVD Creator 8.5 and both times, went to play the DVD in my player, won't play, error.
I like Super DVD Creator because I can just drag the mpeg or AVI into it, and pop a blank DVD in the drive and it does everything, supposedly, so when you're done, that it's just pop in the DVD. But no luck yet.

maybe you are right, the brand I bought was Acro Circle, I have never heard of them. I should have maybe gone with HP or TDK???
Maybe after all this, it's the actual discs themselves???

actually most of the movies are in mpeg or AVI format, but like I say, this Super DVD is supposed to convert and burn, but along the files are burnt, doesn't work in the dvd player.
