grey sensor for swap magic

I've permanently covered the grey sensor with glue and plastic, i was just wondering if i were to get a modchip would this have any effect? would there be any long term effects too?

Well, if you have glued it down, then there is no way of taking it off without damaging the switch, it wont have a effect on a chip, as long as you didnt glue both sensors down, because a chip doesnt need to be tricked into thinking the tray is still closed.
