after i downloaded itunes and quicktime and quicktime became my default video player. but it dosent seem to work very well and was wondering how i can change it to someting else like possibly windows media player. or if maybe there is a better one than that?

if you want to make wmp your default just put in an audio cd for example and wait for the option box to pop up automatically (assuming that you are using winxp), select what program you want to open the files with, (wmp) then all you do is right click on that icon and select it to be your defualt audio player, that should be it for you. if you have quick time already as a default you'll notice an icon in your system tray to the bottom right next to your clock. there should be an option within that as well to disable it as your default.

vlc is really good, but you could always use winamp.

halfhere- thanks for the respose. for some reason when i put a cd or movie in my computer it no longer asks wich one to play it. not sure why. it just automaticly goes to wmp. but when i download any kind of clips from web sites like music videos it uses qt. i tried the icon on the bottom of the screen but couldnt find anyway to disable qt as default. ill keep trying
