Bad Ritek GO5's From Meritline?

hi:

Its been awhile since my last post. Glad to be back. I just bgt (2) 50 pack Ritek Ridata 8x GO5 dvd-r's printable to the hub from meritline. I have never had problems with Riteks until now. My system is an Athlon 64 3500 with 1 gig memory, 80 gig sata. Its always being defragmented with diskkeeper. My video storage is on a separate raid 0 drive 2x250 gig for a 500 gig drive. I am using a plextor 708 burner. I have the latest firmware and burn at max which is 4x. I am using transfer mode DMA 5.

When i say I'm having problems I am getting stuttering, freezing of the video. I use dvd shrink with anydvd and burn with decrypter. When I started getting the stuttering I decided to check the dvd's with dvdinfopro. When I check the disc with dvdinfopro I get read errors. Does anyone know if those read errors are my actual video or could it be the blank space if i didnt write to the entire disc? I think its the video data on the disc because some of my older ritek backups do not take up an entire disc and I dont get any read errors.

Out of the first 26 discs 24 have read errors. I just bgt taiyo yuden 8x for the first time to give them a try and have an RMA in with meritline. Any ideas would be appreciated. REGARDS...
