Thanks for replying, I thought I'd struck it rich. To answer your questions, I really don't know what type of cd I'm trying to burn. I'm taking pictures from dig camera, making a slide show with them on Windows Movie Maker, then trying to burn them onto a CD-R to play in my DVD. I do know that this is possible, since I was able to make a picture only cd on Intervideo, and view it on tv, but when I added music, it crashes during download.
So, I went to the website you indicated. Thought this was exactly what I needed, except one problem. It indicates that to obtain the avi, you do this during the import video... which I'm not doing. I'm just going into my files and importing pics. How else can I change the avi setting? I've also been trying to use photostory3, but have the same problem, files are saved as .wmv.
I did start another project under the movie maker, saved as avi, but when i try to save to cd under this program, it only gives me the .wmv options. I then opened under the windows media player, and it's showing "may not fit" under the Burn status. It is 844 MB... which I can't understand. I did add music, but there's only like 22 pictures and 2 tiny video clips. What did I do to take up that much space???
UPDATe: cut my music in half, which brought down the size considerably. Did try the burn, still no luck. Reading things about authoring, have no clue on this, but did download the philips vcd toolkit, but it's so basic, I have no clue what to do. Am I on the right track? And can you recommend a free download?
Ok, you are going to jump out the window after my poor message! I'm so sorry, next update. I found a avi2vcd thing to encode to mpeg, which I did. But, when I see it on the media player, it is a wide version, not regular. I then went ahead and tried to burn, and it's still coming up with nothing. It did change the file to .mpg.
Any other suggestions??? Thanks again!
Theresa
