FlexPlay - How to Backup?

Hi Everyone,

I just purchased a dvd movie on ebay. I had been looking for this movie for a long time, and just jumped at the chance to buy it.
Imagine my surprise when I opened the mailer package and found a "FlexPlay" dvd inside.
Whenever I PURCHASE a movie or game, I always like to make a copy of it. For PERSONAL use only, just as a backup in case something happens to the original disc.

After reading about "FlexPlay", I'm not sure that I would be able to make a BACKUP copy of this movie.

Anyone have any ideas about how to handle this situation?
Being a newbie, I would appreciate any and all helpful advice.

don't know much about FlexPlay, but this is what I found:

"If a normal DVD player can read them - I can't believe that they can't be ripped - as long as you do it in 48h."

It IS conceivable that they can be read by a standalone, but not by a PC.

CDs of this type were created a year or so ago, with a blank Track -0-. If I remember correctly, SONY spent more than $1,000,000US developing this "foolproof" protection. In less than one week, someone discovered that with the careful use of a felt tip pen to "color in" the Track -0-, the protection was overcomne and the CD was then readable by a PC...
