I'm not sure if anyone will be able to help, as this dvd hasn't been released yet, but I figured that I'd ask.

I got my hands on a copy of harry potter 3 (its from china). The dvd will play fine in a Toshiba laptop (from China), and played fine in a laptop purchassed here in Canada. However it won't play in my parents dvd player. Nor will it play on my computer.

At first I thought that it was a region issue, however normally I get some sort of pop up when using dvd decrypter telling me about the region thingy if thats the case.

The dvd will also play in my dvd recorder (finding the english version is kinda hard, as I don't speak (or read) chinese). But it does work... just neither of my dvd drives can play it, or read it (using either shrink or decrypter).

When I open dvd decrypter, it says there is no copyright protection, and the following:

W 12:26:51 Possible Structure Protection Found!
W 12:26:51 1 area has been marked as 'suspect'.
W 12:26:51 Dummy sectors will be inserted where necessary.



So if anyone has any ideas that would be great.

This is the error that I get when trying to use decrypter.

The dvd decrypter logs say: Failed to read Sector 2239688 (and 2248026 )- L-EC Uncorrectable Error
