Hello - I recently downloaded and AVI files but it is compressed into various .z files. There was also one zip files that I can't seem to unzip. Can anyone explain what a .z file is and how I should go about extracting it?

have you checked that the files arent a .RAR which can be extracted with winrar, which is like a zip only compresses the files even more, also check if the file you cant unzip is not a .iso in which case doesnt need unziping
