*I don't know if this thread should go in this section, so feel free to move it if not*

I own Doom 3 and I am trying to burn a copy of cd1 ( the cd must be in to play) because I have bad luck with dropping and scratching cds. I haven't had much luck. I burnt with Nero 6 (with ANYDVD) using the "make a bootable disk" option and thought I had it. It recognized as Doom 3 and opened the first game menu, not the actual game but the menu that has play game, uninstall, extras, links, support, and quit. But when I clicked play, it came up "Please Insert Disk 1". Is there a way to copy disks like this? Thanks in advance

try using a software called CloneCD or Blindwrite...

Nero Burning ROM should be able to backup some games but you need to have the option 'read sub-channel data' enabled, it is a lengthy process but it works...

otherwise you can download and install IsoBuster, right click the cd icon in the main window then click extract, then burn with ImgBurn

use Alcohol 120% to make a mini image and mount it on a virtual drive and you wont need a back up. follow this link and it will show you how.
