Be cause its the Only phone I have and i Need to use it.

Hi all,
I have a Nokia 6230 (not 6230i) and it was locked with CIngular (US). I used one of the unlock codes, using some online calculator and i did get a successful unlock message.

But now when i want to use my new Orange( Hutch) Sim in Mumbai, India, the phone just doesnt seem to pick the signal. On manual selection of networks, the only network i get is Airtel.

Airtel operates at GSM 1800, while BPL and Orange(Hutch) at GSM 900.

While the Nokia 6230 does operate at Operating Frequency:
EGSM 900, GSM 1800/1900

I can't figure out the problem. One of my friends tried getting it unlocked using the cable, software etc and he still couldn;t use Orange.

Please let me know

Dear Afterdawn gurus,

I've got a Nokia 6320b and would like very much to unlock it. My service provider is Cingular, and the IMEI is 355032000706725. All suggestions appreciated.

Also, can you tell me if Cingular ships all their phones locked? Are only the Nokias locked, or do they lock all brands?
