Hi i have the movie godfater and it is to big to be shrinkt ( if i not wanna lose quality) do you know a free software i can download to split the movie up in to so i can bur it on 2 dvd discs singel sidet.

You can use Shrink in reauthor mode using start and end frames which will split your movie. However you will loose your menu. You can also dl a 21 day trial of CloneDVD from http://www.slysoft.com this program will split your movie and you will be able to have functional menus on both disks if you want. Here are guides for both processes

DVDshrink will do this for you. When in re-author mode change the compression setting to manual and set it 100%, then click on the start/stop frame area (it looks like two arrows pointing in opposite directions on the left side). For disk 1 leave the starting point where it is and set the end point to about 1/2 way into the movie, then just make your backup. For disk 2 follow the same procedure only the starting point will be where you left off in disk 1 and end point leave alone, make your backup.
