I used dvd shrink on my desktop and the dvds work on my standalone dvd player and playstation but when i use dvd drink on my laptop the dvds only work on the computer and playstation 2...My desktop has two drives and laptop only one so I dont know if that has anything to do with it...Please let me know why the dvds i burn on my laptop do not work on the standalone dvd player....Thanxx

What brand media did u use? Crappy media can cause problems on standalones.

What type of media? +R or -R. Unless u can booktype your +Rs to Dvd-Rom stick to -R.

What speed did u burn at? 4x is recommended for the best results.

I used two differnt types of media....both +R..and they were burned at 2.4x

I've always notice that DVD-R always work better in stand alone players, esp older models.
