I have a new ps2 slime That has the fliptop on it. I also Have five year old So I want to back up all my games. What do I need to get do I need swap magic cd. And what else do I need to use it. Since You don't use the slide card thanks.

No your right most of us here don't use the slide card.

But anyway your going to need to download these software. 1(DVD Decrypter- to convert the files from the PS2 Game and put the on your harddrive on your computer. 2(ISO Buster- to extract all the files from the image of the game on which you put on your harddrive. 3(NERO- to burn the game onto your media.

Note: I use Maxell DVD+R media when burning my game.

Yes you most definitly need the Swap Magic CD and DVD. That was the whole purpose of the Fliptop. No Brainer lol. The Swap Magic allows you to boot your burned game. If you don't already have them I got mine from www.thegiantstore.com

I have everything I need to burn them I know how to do that but I didn't buy the fliptop it was the orignal fliptop that comes on the playstation when you buy it new. do I have to modify it or not I know I need the swap magic cd

yes you do have to mod it, go to the thread in my sig, Tokijins ones. go down to number 7. and look at my tape and tape mode, :)

I also want to add that the quality of blank media counts. There are forums on this site that suggest the good ones. I can't remember on top of my head, but I think some of TDK's blank disc are good.
