most burners and hard drives from newegg are oem. most of the time u dont get a disc with them or cables. u should be able to find some thing online though.

Which OS are you using? If windows XP, the drive should be installed instantly by the OS after it finishes booting.

Out of all the burners i have had over the years i have only ever had one with software to install.This was a philips drive and you did not really need the disc if you were on xp.So no you don't need.
