Do SNES roms suposed to be slow?

I've been using the Snesx PSP and the Roms have been going vary,slow and its starting to get on my nerves.Is it because there isn't a good enough emulator out yet?

You have to increase the mhz.

In the game use the round controller press left and you will get some settings, increase the Mhz and it should be ok.

increasing the mhz doesnt drain the battery more, or does it? cau on average with ANY game (ROM or UMB game) the psp lasts for at least 4 hours
