I just got my Viper Extreme and I think I installed it right. I flashed the bios and received no errors and it verified so I think it's good. I have the case mod and am trying to boot a backup game. The drive never attempts to spin at all using DVD-R. Put an original in and it spins fine. My guess it's the laser tweak but I did check it.

Media = Verbatim 8x burned at 4 on a Pioneer 110 drive using IMGburn. No luck. I checked the pot on the laser when I did the mod and it was at 220 and I adjusted it to 200. At least I think I did, the meter I used has only Ohm K on it. Maybe this is 1000 Ohm not 2000? I dunno. Does this make a difference. I imagine it does. Seeing the drive doesn't budge at all, I think it must be the pot.

Can someone offer me some help. I just would like to test one burn to see if my mod is working.
