Taiyo Yuden - no read & skip

I've been using DVD X Copy with a Taiyo Yuden DVD+R's and all of my burned movies either skip halfway through them or the players will not even read them.

I just downloaded DVD Clone & Any DVD to give it a try. Should I get DVD-R's? How can I prevent this skipping and "no disc" read. Thanks

Are you booktype-able? Meaning can you change the disc to DVDROM, the universal booktype? And what speeds are you burning at? And are these genuine TYs? Have you tried different player?

Unfortunately I'm not book-typable. I just tried using CloneDVD2 at a write speed of 4X; we'll see if this is any better. I purchased these Taiyo Yuden's from supermediastore.com. I believe I got that website's name from these forums.
