Hi, ive just got my network adapter setup with a hdd but i cant seem to find a way to copy games across the network. I dont want to take the hdd out everytime i want to copy games to it so how do i copy games from windows through the network cable then onto the hdd? ive seen WinHIIP for copying the games locally but as i said i dont want to move the hdd to the pc so how do i go about this?

any help would be much appreciated.

p.s any guides\tutorials for setting up the ps2 hdd and network adapter with windows would again be much appreciated.

You have to use hdl dumb to ftp the games to your hard drive.

ps3 with 20gb hard drive

xbox 360 premium edtion with vga/hd hook up to my dell 20.1 inch widescreen lcd.

White and black 1.5 psp's

I'll take this down WHEN micro$oft decides to stop being lazy and make the capcom fighting games backwards compatible with the 360 dammit!!!

thanks bluejet, seems to be exactly what im looking for.

Installing a game via TCP/IP network

1. load HDLD_SVR.ELF on the Playstation 2 console;
NOTE: There are far too many ways to do this, so, please, use Google to locate the most convinient one. IP address is configured via mc0:SYS-CONF/IPCONFIG.DAT and the proper format is "ip_address networking_mask gateway_ip" (w/o quotes). The default configuration is "192.168.0.10 255.255.255.0 192.168.0.1".
2. use cdvd_info to find out what the startup file is;
3. use inject_cd/inject_dvd to actually install the game;
4. sit and wait patiently or do what you wish, since it is going to take a loooong time.

C:\HDL_DUMP> hdl_dump cdvd_info cd0:
"SLES_500.54" "MIDNIGHTCLUB"

C:\HDL_DUMP> hdl_dump inject_cd 192.168.0.10 "Midnight Club" cd0: SLES_500.54
1%.........
see how ive got to copy the ELF file to the PS2, what is the best way to do this? ive got the matrix infinity mod chip and hdloader so can i copy the ELF file to the harddrive or the memory card?

to bootup hdloader im using a cd version that i obtained from somewhere, is it possible to get rid of the cd and just have it booting from the memory card? my dvdrom drive is dodgy so i would like to stop using it altogether.

any other cool stuff i can do with the hdd other than to just hold the game images?
