All you have to do is take the files on your hard drive from DVDFab and run them thru VOB Blanker, that will fix the "out of memory" error your getting.

You can get VOB Blanker from my sig, it's a free program, just set the "Input" to the files on your hard drive from DVDFab and set the output to a new folder, "Dark Water Blanked" or something. Don't change any options, just Hit "Process!" and let it do it's work.

Once it's done, use DVD Shrink, hit "Open Files" and goto "Dark Water Blanked" or whatever you called it and hit ok. Then proceed like you nomally would.

Hope this explains the process enough for you, Good luck. Let me know if you have any problems or questions.

thanks for your quick reply i am trying VOB blanker again the first time i used it i though i had to remove a few things like extras

am i right to guess this is a protection problem and VOB by removing a blank cell is fixing this ?

NOTE: Deleted 1 unreferenced cells (in the middle of the VOB)

done no more memory problems thanks for your help

one more question if i use VOB blanker to remove a preview i go in pgcs in selected titleset and blank it out ?

thanks for your help keep up the nice work

ok this is my final result i think ...

used dvdfab to dump the movie on my pc

used vobblanker to remove previews and a few useless extras then
vobblanker removed the unreferenced cells

used dvdshrink or Nero to do a final compression movie at 80% of original quality and lost nothing important

Hello,
Dark Water, First use DVD Fab, move folder to shrink, let it analyze, then, most important, uncheck subtitle boxes, then back up, no problems with that.

I was having the same out of memory problem and was able to back-up by using DVDshrink, reauthoring and just burning the movie (no extras). AnyDVD was open in the background.

I was having problems encoding Dark Water and receiving a out of memory problem when I used Shrink and AnyDVD. The problem was fixed when I ripped with DvdFab Decrypter while having AnyDVD still running in the background and backed up with Shrink.

AnyDVD and CloneDVD for life.

I don't use (hardly use) DVD Shrink but I'm a DVDFAB Decrypter or DVD Decrypter, VobBlanker and Nero Recode 2 person. So far below is what I can confirmed:

<> DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.6.8 to rip (anywhere from 10 - 15 minutes)
<> VobBlanker 2.1.0.0 to process (anywhere from 8 - 10 minutes)
<> Nero Recode 2 with "Advanced Analysis" only (15 minutes)
