Keep the CD burner or the DVD-Rom drive

I just got the Pioneer 105 for my Dell 8200. I have a NEC DVD ROM drive that rips at about 7x and a NEC 16x bufferunderrun protected CD Burner. Both drives are great and I've never made a coaster with the CD burner. Should I keep the DVD-ROM and use it to rip or keep the cd burner? Is the Pioneer a good cd burner? Any advice is much appreicated!
