I've tried enough crappy media. I'm tired of this. I want the best. I want media that will work in all players. What do I need to get? And where do I get it, that would be nice too. But utmost to retaining my sanity is compatible with ALL players.

This isn't a wild goose chase, is it, this actually exists? This seems like a holy grail of difficulty to attain.

I simply want it to work in ALL. I don't want anymore aggravating compatibility lists >> A works in B, C works D,E,F. *sigh* *headdesk*

If your DVD Burner can bitset then purchase TY DVD+R and bitset them to DVD-Rom and they will work in virtually all players.

If your DVD Burner doesn't have a bitsetting function, purchase DVD-R media since they will work in nearly all players.

But in any case, purchase TY media since it is the best.

Here is a great place to get them from: www.supermediastores.com

Is it true only a handful of Burners support bitsetting? How do I tell if mine can support it? What do you need to know? Does this help answer that:

HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA-4040B >> Belarq Advisor tells me that.

From what I just researched I believe you have that capability. Here is a picture of what I found.

I tried DVDBitSetter. It crashed when I clicked to apply it.

The option I showed above was from the software package that possibly came with your burner. I found it by doing a Google search with this in the search bar: HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GSA
