DVD-RW or DVD+RW? Which is best for Sony DVD92?

I got a Sony DVD92 video camcorder for Christmas with 3 DVD+RWs. I love the idea of using them over and over again but The +rw's I used on Christmas day would not play in my computer so I had to convert it using Roxio and then save to a dvd (what a slow prcess). If I buy -rw's will they play so I can just make copies to blank DVD's? Do I buy the Video mode discs or VR mode? I'm kinda clueless. Can anyone help? Thanks.
