I am having a problem when i burn a dvd movie i have converted. after using WinAVI to convert and DVD Santa to burn, when i play the movie on my DVD Player, the video skips and kind of lags, then jumps to a next scene and then comes back, it has happend about alot, does any one hae any sugestions as to what to do, i have a good computer so its not because of a slow computer, dvd's are good quality, burn at 4 x even though i can burn at 8x tried all speeds still hasnt worked. would really like help, have all necesary codecs. thanx IA

You say you have a good computer. Could you post your specs?

Also, you say DVD's are good quality, what brand are they? Have you used DVDInfo to see what the manufactures code is? Your problem really sounds like a media problem.

AMD Semperon Processor 3100+
640 mb ram, Hard Drive- 120 gb capacity- 60 gb free
DVD-r Media- Verbatiam, and TDK.
i found a way for some of my movies to work i switched over to a program called Apollo DivX to dvd creator. works good and then burned it at 2 x and worked good just a little pixelation on the bottom right hand corner, but not as bad at all as before. what would happen before was it would like i guess lag and then play lag and play sort of like that, it is weird but i dont know i havent burned at 8x but i will try one, but i would like to use winavi again its faster. anyway thanks i appreciate it.

Burn at your lowest option 2x, and make sure to choose next to no, or no compression at all when compiling. If you are burning mostly all converted downloads, you will always run into some kind of pixelization of some sort.
