hello, can anyone plz help me iv downloaded and instaled this codec and when i installed it a black box came up and went but then when i wanted to dlete the installer it says its in use. iv restart my computer and removed it from the add/remove programs but ti still just stays there and i cant delete it.please can you help any one. oh and by the way the codec is for windows media player and its called hdx4 thks in advance.

try deleting the setup aswell go to start, my computer, c, program files and find the codec and delete it. if you manage to delte i recomment using k-lite codec pack. hope this helped

go into safe mode and attemp to delete it from there.

a codec wouldnt be in program files.

im guessing that what you downloaded probably wasnt a codec at all and was more likely spyware.

run a spyware scan to see if you pick anything up. failing that do a system restore to a point before you originally installed the file
