Which game is it? It's not Jade Empire by chance........LOL. Unfortunately, DVD-R's may say 4.7 but u can only burn a 4.4GB XBOX ISO, don't ask me why but that's how it is. You can use Qwix to extract the ISO. From there u'll have to delete files to get the disc to 4.4GB. Or reduce quality of some video files. There's a site with the files that can be deleted for each XBOX game but I don't have it since I'm at work.

XBOX v1.6, Samsung DVD, stock Seagate, SID4 - Avalaunch

Extract the ISO with Qwix or Craxtion. Delete the videos folder and it should burn to DVD-R.

www.balugabutt.com is a good site for XBOX deletions. The 50 Cent game isn't on there yet but alot of games are.

Hi Guys, I have opened the ISO file of 'Ninja Gaiden Black'(5.90GB). What files do I need to delete to make it fit and play on a 4.7GB DVD?

I haven't backed that one up yet,but the first one had two versions of each video. Ones that had the name and then a copy of the same video with a (j) at the end of the title. If yours has these you could delete the videos with the (j) since they're the japanese videos.

Worth a look-see.

I have deleted all _j.sfd files in the movie folder, 6 in total: (pre_movie5_j.sfd, pre_movie8_j.sfd, pre_movie10_j.sfd, pre_movie11_j.sfd, pre_movie13_j.sfd & pre_movie14_j.sfd).

I have also deleted dashupdate.xbe & update.xbe. This is still to big to fit on a DVD: Total size now = 4.91GB

There were 3 other .xbe files:
default.xbe
NinjaTomoe.xbe
NinjaTrilogy.xbe

I'm not to sure if I should keep them but if you do delete them the size left is: 4.90GB

What else can I delete to get 'Ninja Gaiden Black' to fit on a 4.7GB DVD?
------------------------------------------

Also to 'mavrick7' thanks for the advice but some of us haven?t got the money for new Dual layer burners and dual layer discs!

searched on xbox-scene.com forums and got this (dunno if it works though)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

-Ninja Gaiden: Black Edition

Get all the files to your PC harddrive

Start off by searching the main root of the ninja gaiden
for "update.xbe" and "dashupdate.xbe" and delete'em

Okay, now open the movie folder and seperate the files like so

all files "_ j" put in one folder
and all files that don't have _ j put in another

Alright now take the regular files with no "j"
and match them with the one with "J" like so

pre_movie8.sfd - Copy it and rename it
pre_movie8_j.sfd -

Now see, now you got two

pre_movie8.sfd but one is rename with _ j

do it for all the files that carry "_ j" with the regular files

create iso then burn

BEFORE YOU MAKE ISO MAKE SURE YOU PUT A CHECK IN
"Automatically cross-link identical files"

ISO size: Sorry don't remember
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Worth looking at though.

Hi, I tried that; it does not work but thanks for trying to help.

Firstly all I am doing is changing the English movie files into Japanese files by renaming them. I have also deleted dashupdate.xbe & update.xbe. This is still too big to fit on a DVD: Total size following those instructions = 4.91GB.

Anyone else got any ideas? Thanks

well if all else fails, goto balugabutt and get some dummy files to replace some videos.

Also look to see if there are any demos that can be deleted.

I did it!!! If you delete the doa4.sfd, this makes the game size 4.24GB.

I didn?t realize it was a trailer for ?Dead or Alive4? because the trailer doesn?t appear until you complete the first section of Ninja Gaiden Black, then once you reset the game it comes up with a new option saying 'Coming Attractions'. The trailer is huge, it lasts for almost 10minutes!!!

So in conclusion if you want to fit Ninja Gaiden Black onto a 4.7GB DVD you have to delete:

pre_movie5_j.sfd
pre_movie8_j.sfd
pre_movie10_j.sfd
pre_movie11_j.sfd
pre_movie13_j.sfd
pre_movie14_j.sfd
doa4.sfd

dashupdate.xbe
update.xbe
