Hey Guys & Gals. What is the concensus on Prodisc DVDs. These are made by Pioneer? I know TYs are#1 with verbs and MCC and Sony next in line. I ask because supermedia store has a pioneer 110 burner with 50 Prodisc DVD-Rs with free shipping. Sounds good, but if the Prodisks are crappy then I can wait fot the next deal to come up.

well, some people are quite fond of Prodisc media, but, i for one, am not~ :) that's just MY opinion of them...i had some Prodisc media from a few years ago that i tried, they seemed to burn fine, but upon playback, i experienced heavy pixellation/skipping...

i don't know about the quality of recent Prodisc media as i haven't tried any...but, for ME PERSONALLY, i will not pay money for them when i can get Taiyo Yudens for only a few pennies more per disc~ :)

can only give you my experience of Prodisc +r
was given 100 to test for a friend a few mth's back, after burning 20 with terrible results, i gave the rest away

Well this gal will stay away from them. Tried them because at the time they were they only ones I could find that had silver inkjet ones. Figured Pioneer's a good name right? Well I think they all burned but playback was a different story. I ended up redoing them. So stick with the TY's and Verbs. Just my 2 cents!!

ProDisc makes very good CD media .. too bad they don't carry the same quality ovet yo DVD media .. I got better scans when I was testing out some CMC/Memorex garbage ...
