I put my home videos onto a dvd they were small I would like to rip them off of the DVD I made to do some editing and add another video to it and then to put back onto a dvd. I authored them originally in DVD Lab. Any help appreciated. Mike

Well your Question Pretty Much has the Answer in it....

Just Rip the Files off of the DVD (Or simply Copy them as the DVD isn"t Copy protected) and then Make sure your Other Files are DVD Compliant and then use a Native Mpeg editor like "Womble Mpeg2VCR" to Edit and Join the Ripped VOB files and the MPEG-2 files and when you are ready the Program will save your edited Project as a DVD Compliant MPEG-2 file (Without re-encodeing) and then Load the MPEG-2 file into DVDLab and author it to DVD....

So all You Basicly need is a Native Mpeg editor to edit the Files ....

P-4 2.6ghz (Overclocked to 3.2ghz)
Abit IS7
1gb Dual Chanell DDR 400mhz
Zalman CNPS7000-CU Cooler(Modded with 50cfm Fan)
XFX Gforce 6600GT 128mb GDDR3 (500/1000)
Pinnacle DV500 ADVC Editing Card
RaidMax Scorpio ATX Case + 5 Led

Yes, You can use Womble to edit the Files ripped off of the DVD and Mix them with Other Files as Long as the Other Files are also DVD compliant MPEG-2 files and then render your edited project to MPEG-2 useing the Default settings and then when it is Done you will have a Big MPEG-2 file that you can author to DVD with your favorite DVD authoring Program.....

Cheers

What do you mean by mix them with other files? My DVD has already been authored with menus etc. I just want to reauthor it by adding another video to the dvd. I have ripped the files onto the hard drive already and I am trying to figure out what to do next. Will this also help with audio sync problems? Thanks I hope I am not confusing you.

Would this Not be Considered Mixing Files??...Like the DVD Files and the Files you want to add to the DVD??

Like I said you rip the DVD and then Load then VOB files into Womble and then edit in or Cut out or do whatever you are trying to do and when you have the Files edited the way you want them you then save the files as MPEG-2 files useing the Default settings and then Load the MPEG-2 file into DVDLab and add your Menu"s and Chapters and Burn it to DVD....Isn"t that what you are Trying to Do???
