Hi,

I recorded a wedding on my camcorder and i have a LG DVD PLAYER Hard Drive Recorder.
So i burnt the recording straight to a DVD and cause it was recorded on the LG Recorder it automatically makes the horrible LG Menu on the disk.
So i put the movie on my computer with DVD DECRYPTER and then removed the LG Menu with DVD SHRINK which worked 100%!!
But the only problem is i want to make my own custom tittle etc. like Microsoft Movie Maker 2.0 etc.
But the only problem is i cannot open the files in Movie Maker 2.0 cause they are in a TS_Video Folder with .vob & .ifo files.
But when i use a program to convert it to .AVI or .MPEG to be able to open it in Movie Maker it compresses the file and ends up being only 477mb from the original 3GB and it looses all the qaulity and is only 640x480.
I have used Xilisoft Converter and other converters and i tell it to keep the full aspect of the screen size with no compression but no matter what program i use it compresses the file.

Can someone please tell me what program i can use to convert the files so i can open the video in MS Movie Maker 2 without changing the qaulity of the video?

Kind Regards,
Scott

Since AVI and MPEG files are compressed video formats, what your trying to do isn't possible.

What you need to do is get a DVD authoring program ( such as DVD Lab-Pro or TMPGEnc DVD Author). They will allow you to import the VOB files (DVD format) and then create menus without the loss.

DVD2AVI(search for this)is kinda hard to learn but will seperate the audio and the video in full quality then you can use tmpgenc to put them together at a high rate

i recomend on this site got to a how to make svcd tutorial or guide
and follow those instructions-----but on the final one which is tmpgenc--instead of making a svcd--click on the one that says dvd format and leave the file size real high-----like 4000 gig

then after that is done--u can know use any dvd authoring software to make menus etc...

i recomend for a new bee------ulead dvd disk creator 3.0
