Cant play .asf file in Media Player Classic

Hi, I am trying to stream the following link which I believe is a .asf stream (Windows Media). This works fine in Windows Media Player 10 but I get this error in Media Player Classic. "Invalid resource path string in requested URL.". Should Media Player Classic be able to render this video stream?

The stream is:
rtsp://stream-sif.romauno.tv:8080

I have Windows Media Player 10, DirectX 9.0c, FDDshow, Real Alternative, QT Alternative installed. Although I would think the standard DirectX filters should be able to render this? BTW - I really am very new to this stuff so please forgive me if anything I am saying seems really stupid :).
