Welcome to aD.

"What´s the utility of RAM in the DVD burner?"
Not quite sure what you mean here... do you mean Buffer size?

"but i heard a name of a good program which allowed you to copy original dvds but cant remember it"
There are a few programs: DVD Shrink, DVD Decrypter, DVDFab, AnyDVD, DVD43. Any of these ring a bell?

Quick break down for you:
DVD Shrink: No longer updated will not handle newer DVD's but still and outstanding program, especially when used in conjuction with AnyDVD (Freeware)

DVD Decrypter: No longer updated, but still a very powerfull ripper! (Freeware)

DVDFab: Is still updated, it will copy the entire DVD to your hard drive, it will not however compress it to fit onto a 4.7GB (DVD-5) disc. (Freeware)

AnyDVD: Little program that runs in the background (taskbar) and removes any protection from a DVD as soon as you put it in the drive. It's still updated. Very useful as I mentioned in conjuction with DVD Shrink. (21 Day free trial, $39.00 to buy I believe. www.slysoft.com)

DVD43: Basically the same thing as AnyDVD, but free. I've never used it so I can't give you much info

Hope this info helps. Let us know if you have any other questions.
