First I would like to say thank you in advance for all the support from everyone in this forum. I still consider myself a newbie, but that is okay, I am picking up skills. I have been happy using DVDFab, DVD Shrink and Imgburn with no problems until a few days ago, Imgburn is giving me the following error message:
I/0 Error:
Device: [0:0:0]_NEC DVD_RW ND-3540A, (F:) (USB), ScsiStatus: 0X02
Interpretation: Check condition
CDB: 53 00 00 00 00 00 2E EB 7 00
Interpretation: Reserve Track-Sectors: 3,074,935
Sense Area: 70 00 05 00 00 00 0A 00 00 00 00 24 00 00 00 00
Interpretation: Invalid Field in CDB

How can I correct this error when I am using Imgburn? I had to type the above error message, there must be a program that can allow me to print screen and paste it..

First, make sure your burner's firmware is up to date, if not you can get the update here...http://support.necsam.com/optical/downloads/flashfirmware/readme....

Have you been using this drive all along for your backups?
Have you changed the media your using?
Have imgburn write a 2x then try 4x
You can also try using DVDdecryper to burn your backups in ISO write mode, try this and what happens.

Johnl123, I will find out if my firmware is uptodate, I went to NEC firware page, I was told that if my NEC drive is an external USB drive that I must go thru the OEM, which is Dell for the update.. I do not think that is true, but I can try that route.

Have you been using this drive all along for your backups? Yes, this is only drive I have been using all the long for my backups.
Have you changed the media your using? I did change the media from TDK to Verbatim DVD-R, but I will be using TDK...just had a great deal on Verbatim that I could not refuse.
Have imgburn write a 2x then try 4x. I will try imgburn in 2x on my next burn, I have been using 4x.
You can also try using DVDdecryper to burn your backups in ISO write mode, try this and what happens. I have never try using DVDdecryper to burn backups in ISO write mode, but I will try that too.. Thank you for the information and tips.... mrnat

Oh, I might add that once I have made a back up of a DVD and want another copy, I had no problems whatsoever using Roxio Easy Media Creator Basic DVD Home that came with my NEC drive. I have learned that there are indeed many ways to skin a cat.....mrnat
