HALF LIGHT has the same THE CAVE problem, I never was able to successfully use Alkohol's guide, I always end it with 2.75 gb (1/3 of the movie), maybe computer configuration or else. But using "alkohol's guide" I found the way to backup the movies, I used the PgcEdit, pluging, wizard and phase 1 ,than DVD Decrypter, follow thr instructions and Nero recode2 and done.
Hope it will help..

Hello,
Half light, very easy, shrink with AnyDVD 5.8.2.1 running in the back ground, and Nero, copyed at 4x speed, 24 total minutes.
Very easy.
The cave
Dvd fab, then use shrink, copy with Nero, uncheck subtitle boxes, copys whole movie.
OR, use AnyDVD 5.8.2.1 and dvd clone, copies whole movie, even subtitles, works like a charm.

Just got it to work. It told me since it is less that 4.7 I could make a perfect copy, but I kept getting error messages. So when I tried it with just the movie itself it bypassed a bad or unknown sector and worked fine.

Just FYI.......

Echostar, sometimes if the movie does that. go to reauthor in shrink, sometimes there will be a few seconds of just a black screen, and that will mess things up. in reauthor click on the start and ending scene button. then move the movies past the very start where the black screen is and that will help.

Used DVDFabDecrypter and ripped it without problem. Subsequently, DVD Shrink took care of the rest.

Here's my method: 100% success regardless if it's RipGuard or ARccOS, no AnyDVD, no DVD43 required, no hustle. All tools are FREE, except for Nero.

<><><> Alkohol's VobBlanker method <><><>
<> rip the movie with DVD Decrypter via Mode, File F to hard drive
<> or rip the movie with DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.6.8 to hard drive
<> VobBlanker version 2.1.0.0 to process and filter out fake/bad cells
<> encode/transcode with Nero Recode 2 or DVD Shrink
<> burn with Nero Burning Rom or Nero Express

<><><> Alkohol's 2nd method <><><>
<> rip the movie with DVD Decrypter via Mode, File F to hard drive
<> or rip the movie with DVDFAB Decrypter 2.9.6.8 to hard drive
<> PgcEdit combo PSL2 plugin + FixVTS to process and filter out craps, fake cells
<> encode/transcode with Nero Recode 2 or DVD Shrink
<> burn with Nero Burning Rom or Nero Express

That's it... easy as sippin' on a Whiskey. No sweat, no worry, no glitches, no black screen, no misery, no hustle, no AnyDVD, no DVD43, 100% success.

Enjoy it!!

If you don't know what/where to "blank" out, then just click on PROCESS and it will be just fine. The reason I blank out certain pgcs/cells is because I don't want that annoying FBI warning, plus I just want to completely get rid of any suspected VTS or Pgcs/Cells that's all.
