hpw do i get the infinity 1.54 for the ps2 to play online games

I bought a pre-built matrix infinity 1.54 for the ps2 over a month ago and today decided to hook it up to the network. It hooks up and runs great, no problems. The problem that I do have is when I load up socom 3 which is a back up it will not allow me to go online. I have also attempted this with rainbow six lockdown and ghost recon 3. I guess what my question is how do I activate stealth mode or whatever so these programs will play online. I am a very big newbie at this, came over from the pc world. Any help what so ever would be great.
