So about two months ago I bought a benq burner with lightscribe. I was really excited to try it out so went to Staples to buy the media. It turned out that they only had hp lightscribe media, no verbatim. Since I really wanted to try it out, I figured that since hp came out with the lightscribe technology, their media shouldnt be that bad. Well, it's IDed CMC MAG. AE1. I know that this is really crappy media, but I just used nero to check the quality score of the four I burned about a month ago. They were 98, 99, 97,98. Should I reburn these on TY's becuase I remember reading someone saying that this media crapped out after 3 months. Thank you for any input.

In my experience you should as CMC media degrades badly.
Do it sooner rather than later and you maybe able to re burn them with minimum fuss. Otherwise you may have trouble reading the CMC media in the first place. My 2c worth.

wal-mart has 10 pk LS discs.. dvd blanks for about $1 each.

best buy has sales on it.. 10 pk for like 7.99

It sure wouldn't hurt to move a good scan on a better media while you can. :)
