hello everyone, thanks in advance for helping. i've got a original copy of hd loader, hard drive, usb pendrive, and i've allready installed the mc exploit. i've installed hd loader.elf, everything seems to work fine...i turn on the ps2 and i can run hd loader right off the hdd. this is exactly what i want. my question is what do i do next-what do i have to do (step by step please) to play my back-up copy of a game. i've used dvd-decrypter to back-up games.

1.Get a high TOC (large disc size) game such as GTA or Mercenaries or anything bigger than the game you plan to install.
2.Load HDLoader (is it 0.7c version?).
3.Insert Your TOC game and let the ps2 recognize it.
4.Click install.
5.Swap out your game using a slide card or fliptop, insert your backup.
6.Press continue.
7.Enter name, press done.
8.Game installs.

Or if you dont mind opening your PC put set your PS2 HDD as a slave drive and load up WINHIIP 1.7.5 and add your image made by DVDDecryptor.
Alot faster but need to know what your doing.

Thats about it except for networking games but that takes ages and can stuff up really easy.

thanks andrew691...i don't have a slide card or a flip top. when i start-up the ps2 i get a screen that says "launch elf v3.4" in the top right hand corner. i have this set-up so if i press the triangle button, it launches hd loader right off the hdd. let's say i dont want to use hd loader, is it possible to somehow put in a cd/dvd of a game i have backed-up and play right off the cd/dvd. thanks

the only way is to add cogswap loader to your exploit but that still needs a TOC disc then slidecard/fliptop swap. Google either for how to make a slidecard or look in images for slidecard its easy to just make one.
