Members,

Does anyone if the Gear Engine has a conflict with any other programs? When using the Gear Engine in DXC 1.5.0 & 1.4.1 (ONLY)when it finish reading at 100%, the system reboots. This happens everytime. But when I use the Nero Engine it works fine but I cannot use the Gear Deafault Engine. I know that all the firmwares and necessary updates have been updated, like service packs for Win2K, latest Adaptec ASPI drivers and firmwares...

Please advise if anyone experience this before...

RE: Uninstalling Intel Application Accelerator (IAA)

I have a Dell 8250 with IAA.

How do you uninstall it (please be specific)? Will it re-install automatically upon reboot (hope so)? If not, how do you re-install it?

Sony says I must uninstall IAA prior to installing Firmware and Firmware upgrades for DVD burner DRU500A and AX, but Dell says don't do it and won't tell me how and says my warranty will void. Sony says it's okay, but they don't have to deal with the consequences if my Dell crashes permanently, as Dell says it will.

Should I take the chance, or omit Firmware altogether? DRU works fine so far without it.
