Does xbox read DVD+R DL?

ok i got and xbox and i bought a Verbatim DVD+R DL (dual layer) - single sided disk... i got the evoX chip aswell.. does the xbox read this disk? cos i put it and and it says it cannot read the disk.. or is it that i just didnt burn the game correctly? (50 cent bulletproof) or do i need a different type of cd?
i was just wondering... i got my reciept from where i got my xbox modded and it says use ritek dvd-r disks.. i kno that the base is ment to be purple so that it doesnt reflect and burn the laser.... but why dvd-r disks? ive seen it in a couple of places..

not sure if they can or not, but i know mine doesn't
like +R media at all.
Did a game on DVD-R and it worked fine
Did the same game on +R just as a test and it had
"UNKNOWN" where is usually tells you the disc is a game.
But it will play movies on +R just fine for some reason.
may be my burner as my PSTwo has had the same type of problem when i do games to +R

im going to the shops today to buy a DVD-R DL single sided so that i can burn this game :) i hope it works

also check the other post, found a tutorial on what files you can
delete in Halo 2 to fit on your HDD. If that doesn't make it small enough ask the guys at that site, one of them will know how to do it

:P i want to burn 50 cent bulletproof not halo :P, anyway, everyone makes mistakes...
i just bought a dvd - r dl a few days ago and im gona crack it... i got a pioneer DVD-RW dvr-108 burner and it says it cant read a verbatim DVD-R DL 8.5gb single sided... now what?
