This is my nephew's laptop and I am not sure what he did but it is very slow and you can not do a windows update, start internet explorer or select anything on the desktop. Some applications are availabe but everything can be slow at time.

The error:
I cannot start Internet Explorer and any office applications. I still couldn't do any update. Once I try to do any of this it gets real slow and I have to wait a few minutes.

" CTF Loader has encountered a problem and needs to close"

I ran SpySpot, AdAware, Remove Norton since it wouldn let me run it, and loaded PC Trend.

Here is a copy of Hijacker log... Can anyone help other rebuilding this pc I don't know what else to do

I had a customer with some similar problems and I had to enter system in safe mode run adware and antivirus scans found lots of trojans. However after hours of cleaning and scanning the device I was able to back up his files and then reformatted the hard drive and reinstall windows and all subsequent software. I should have done that from the beginning as I wasted precious time and headaches trying to get it to work. Basically the system gets corrupted and all though you get it running its not in good shape so a clean install is what I recomend....there are others here with far more experience than me perhaps one of them has some better advice
