Hi all,
I have a Nokia 6230 (not 6230i) and it was locked with CIngular (US). I used one of the unlock codes, using some online calculator and i did get a successful unlock message.

But now when i want to use my new Orange( Hutch) Sim in Mumbai, India, the phone just doesnt seem to pick the signal. On manual selection of networks, the only network i get is Airtel.

Airtel operates at GSM 1800, while BPL and Orange(Hutch) at GSM 900.

While the Nokia 6230 does operate at Operating Frequency:
EGSM 900, GSM 1800/1900

I can't figure out the problem. One of my friends tried getting it unlocked using the cable, software etc and he still couldn;t use Orange.
