i had no problem with any kind of protection. my problem is i can't get the compression ratio high, right now it is 67%. That is the main movie only(i also cropped the movie a little bit, taking the cedits and waht not off) and AC3 5.1-ch turned off. Is there any other programs that i can use to compress the video?

You can set shrink to deep analysis to improve the quality or try dvd rb and CCE - a litle more time involved. At 67% you should be okay with the playback quality. Make sure you using quality media also.

I haven't done this movie yet, but I have done some with a compression ratio of 52% and even 47%, they look just fine when I play them on my tv.
