My DMR has started to freeze during playback of rental movies. I have taken great care to ensure the cleanliness of the disc before inserting it in the machine, but lately it will lock up in one or two places in the movie, usually in the middle of a scene (as opposed to between scenes).

Tonight I managed to lock the DVD tray (while fearlessly pushing buttons on the remote) and it was only by accident that I Googled this site and found out how to lock/unlock the tray (push "Power" and "Stop" for 5 seconds). Thank you, Trackermc!

Any help on this problem is appreciated as it is happening more and more often.
