Dvd-rom is most compatable with stand-alone dvd players. DVD+R is the only one of the 2 formats that can be booktyped dvd-rom. Not all dvdrw drives are capable of bitsetting/booktyping. If your drive is capable then DVD+R is the way to go. If your drive is not capable then DVD-R will probably be more compatable especially with older stand-alone dvd players.
